On September 13, PCL took delivery of the 61,000 dwt bulk carrier,
IKAN SENYUR which was built at the Shin Kasado Dockyard of Imabari
Shipbuilding Group.
This vessel is the first in the newly developed I-STAR series of 61 BC
and its outstanding features include energy saving devices such as hybrid
fin and other enhancements such as wide hatches to improve operational efficiency.
The vessel upon delivery proceeded to Gladstone to load a cargo of
coal for our premier customer Arcelor Mittal.
We will receive additional units of I-star BC in the future and continue
to expand our fleet with new generation of energy efficient bulk carriers to meet
our customers requirements.
